This Outstanding Gem has retained its original structure with its unique traditional thatch roof, white pebble dashed exterior, shutter widows and beautifully finished to perfection with seasonal hanging baskets and window boxes surrounded by creeping ivy, which beautifully surrounds this historical building all year.

The Treacy Family are the proud owners of this business, one of the oldest, traditional Pub & Restaurants established in Ireland since around 1780 and through 8 generations of family have built a reputation that is known for its exceptional quality of hand crafted traditional Irish Cuisine that offers a wide variety of favourites to suit the whole family.

We have proud strong Munster Rugby ties and the family have been involved with sponsoring both Laois and The Heath GAA. We sponsored Laois Minors from 1992 to 1997, in this space Laois won Minor Football All Ireland.

The Gordon Bennet Rally has been a feature every year which takes place on June Bank Holiday, The Treacy Family love to entertain a variety of vintage car loving enthusiasts to come, show off their prize loving motors and take a spin through the breath taking Slieve Bloom Mountains over the weekend and enjoy a meet up with the local community at Treacy’s for the annual gathering.
