We are a small family run tour business based in Killarney Ireland. We focus on providing scenic andinformative tours of Killarney National Park via jaunting car , living on the doorstep of the national park we are very proud to showcase irelands oldest and best National Park to visitors from all over the world.

Historically our family have vast ties to Killarney with the area having been controlled and defended by the McCarthy Clan for centuries , the entire area is steeped in stories of McCarthy Warriors and rebels who itched there names into the history books. We are very proud of the Mccarthy history all around us and love showing international visitors the sites which are surrounded with such interesting and courageous history.

One of our favourite sites to visit is Muckross Abbey having been built by Donal McCarthy in 1445 and served as a burial place for many member of the McCarthy clan. The MacCarthys maintained  rule over vast parts of Cork and Kerry for almost five centuries and were the Kings of Munster the southern province of Ireland, resisting various Norman, Tudor, and Cromwellian armies. The MacCarthys were indeed part of the “last generation” of Gaelic lords who grew up in a society still governed by native Gaelic culture and laws before it was fully engulfed by the English state when they were finally defeated at Ross Castle in 1652.

Today we keep a herd of approximately 30 horses, mostly traditional Irish native cobs which is a working horse breed known for its strength and good nature. We are a recognised breeder known internationally for Quality Irish Cob horses with great temperaments. In our spare we enter some of our horses in shows where we have had great success. Breeding Irish horses is something we are very passionate about, our aim is to preserve the native Irish Traditional Cob breed and its characteristics of the old breed standard through selective breeding of old bloodlines. We provide excellent care for all of our horses and there health and wellbeing is our top priority. Our working horses always get plenty of rest and recovery, fields of lush grass on there days off supplements , hay and feed. Our horsemanship skills are passed down from father to son and we are very proud of our loyal steeds.

We put a lot of hard work into making sure our horses, jaunting cars and harness are always in top condition and we love storytelling as we clip clop through Killarney National Park.
